The University of Evansville Selects Intelligent Ultrasound to Increase Student Learning Opportunities and Deliver Superior Patient Care
The University of Evansville’s Nurse Anesthesia Program has invested in Intelligent Ultrasound’s (IU) NeedleTrainer, BodyWorks Eve, HeartWorks and ORSIM to extend its simulation lab, increase student learning opportunities and ultimately improve patient care.
Intelligent Ultrasound adds probe placement tutorial videos to its ScanNav Anatomy PNB platform.
Intelligent Ultrasound (IU) announced that it has further improved its ScanNav Anatomy Peripheral Nerve Block (PNB) platform with the addition of probe placement tutorial videos to help find the right view when preparing to deliver UGRA. The new content, developed in response to customer feedback and in collaboration with users, will support clinicians in locating external anatomical landmarks to help with their initial probe positioning.
Southmead Hospital invests in BabyWorks to teach bedside ultrasound for neonates.
Southmead Hospital has invested in the BabyWorks simulator to support hands-on teaching in bedside ultrasound for neonatology trainees in the south-west region. Dr David Evans MBE, Consultant Neonatologist & Director of Medical Education shared "The 3D models and the simulations offered with BabyWorks provide that ability to move offline if you like, and to explore just how you get the standard views.”
BabyWorks now has even more learning opportunities

Over 400 trainees gain BSE accreditation thanks to HeartWorks
Since 2020, Intelligent Ultrasound has been supporting the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) to run transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) practical assessments safely. Jo Sopala, CEO, BSE explained “We have over 4700 members, and this helped 429 of them to get their accreditation through that time. So nearly 10% of our members came through a process that was completely and utterly facilitated by the support provided by Intelligent Ultrasound.”
Intelligent Ultrasound Adds Endometriosis Module to ScanTrainer to Support Sonographer Learning and Early Diagnosis
Intelligent Ultrasound (IU) announce that it has added a new module to its ScanTrainer transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound simulation platform – endometriosis. The new module comes with two e-learn modules and 21 endometriosis cases to support sonographers in their learning and identification of the disease.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital use HeartWorks to expand learning opportunities
Birmingham children’s hospital have developed a training program specifically for paediatric echocardiography trainees, using the HeartWorks simulator to expand learning opportunities and relieve the strain of training with a potentially difficult patient population. It is hoped that the program can be expanded in the future to help train specialist paediatric echocardiographers nationwide.
