A fully comprehensive educational experience
The first of its kind, NeedleTrainer™ uses a retractable needle and virtual image overlays to simulate needling non-invasively on a live participant, using an authentic live ultrasound scan. This enables trainees to develop hand-eye coordination, optimum positioning, and accuracy in ultrasound-guided interventional procedures in a realistic clinical environment with minimal risk.
Alternative Needles
Improved applicability across different needling practices
We’ve introduced alternative size needles to our platform. In addition to redesigning our 84mm length needle, we now offer 40mm and 120mm length needles to provide additional authenticity in the development of needle probe co-ordination skills across a wider variety of clinical fields, including line placement, nephrology and OBGYN.
Designed to replicate those most commonly seen in the clinical setting, the alternative needles are available as an add-on package to NeedleTrainer.
Vascular Access Mode
Comprehensive training on common VA procedures
To compliment the introduction of alternative needle lengths, we’ve added a ‘Vascular Access Mode’ to assist with the training of common VA procedures. Videos facilitate trainees in learning the correct ultrasound view for Central Venous, Peripheral Inserted Central, Femoral Venous and Subclavian Venous catheterization, along with Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation insertion.
In addition to the on-machine videos, an e-learn module on IU Academy forms part of the add-on package with the alternative needles.

Complete learning pathway for regional anesthesia

NeedleTrainer uses self-adhesive patches to enable simulated needle insertion on a live subject. Replacement patches can be ordered online in boxes of 100 or 50.
