ScanTrainer Professional modules approved for CPD points
MedaPhor Group plc is pleased to announce that ScanTrainer Professional has been awarded official Accredited Provider status by The CPD Standards Office.
This means doctors and sonographers in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East can gain CPD points by completing ScanTrainer’s curriculum-based general medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology and emergency medicine ultrasound modules.
Stuart Gall, CEO at MedaPhor, said of the accreditation: “This is another significant milestone for our ScanTrainer Professional ultrasound training simulator and further enhances the system’s value to medical institutions and medical practitioners in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. We plan to replicate this in North America, with their equivalent CME points system.”
Amanda Rosewarne, Director of Research and Accreditation, The CPD Standards Office, said: “We are delighted to have assessed and accredited MedaPhor for its training so it can now offer formal CPD points for delegates worldwide who have professional development requirements in the medical sector. Having been through our rigorous assessment process, MedaPhor’s medical training course is able to deliver engaging and transferable skills through a high quality learning experience in the framework of continuous professional development (CPD).”
CPD points will be available with the new 2017 Edition ScanTrainer software due to be launched in early 2017.
