Intelligent Ultrasound receives a further £50,000 angel investment

Following the announcement of the first close of its maiden funding round, raising £610,000 from the NHS National Innovation Centre, angel investors, management and the Oxford Invention Fund, Intelligent Ultrasound today announces it has received a further investment of £50,000 from an angel investor towards its target of £780,000 to £900,000 to close the funding round.

Intelligent Ultrasound, a medical imaging software company that was spun out of the University of Oxford on 31 July 2012, develops software solutions to reduce the risk of incorrect or missed diagnoses and avoid costly, inconvenient rescans.

The first product Intelligent Ultrasound will bring to market has already been demonstrated to improve rates of diagnosis in ultrasound scans of the heart by more than 40%1. The Company’s technology has the potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce significantly the cost of healthcare delivery wherever diagnostic ultrasound is used.
